A legacy that inspires
The roots of Bogoria House date back to the 13th century.
Right here, at the junction of Senacka and Kanonicza streets, one of Krakow's oldest stone portals has survived, dated to around 1258. It is a silent witness to the times when the city rose from the ruins of Tatar invasions, and the area was being reborn as a lively, independent settlement. Today this unique relic serves as a reminder that Bogoria House stands exactly where the story of royal Krakow began.

Home of artists, masters and people of the royal court
Kamienica over the centuries was a place where people who helped shape the character and culture of the city lived. As early as 1490 the royal painter Jan Goraj had his atelier here, and later the royal cook resided here. In the 16th century the property belonged to Jan Staszkowski, commander of the Crown artillery. The present name of the residence derives from the family coat of arms – Bogoria – a symbol of the noble tradition.
On the royal trail
Senacka and Kanonicza Streets for centuries formed the representative part of the Royal Route. Monarchs, high dignitaries, participants in coronation processions and royal funerals traversed it. It was also a section of the former University Route, which was traveled by scholars of the Kraków Academy.
To this day, walking along the facade of Bogoria House, one can feel the same rhythm of ceremony, the calm elegance and respect for tradition that have distinguished this part of the city for centuries.
A meeting place for exceptional people
The history of Bogoria House did not stop in the Middle Ages. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the well-known lawyer Dr. Edmund Fischer lived here, and for 11 years Aniela Salawa worked in his house — the future Blessed of the Catholic Church, beatified by John Paul II in 1991. It is a story that shows that Bogoria House has always been a space for everyday encounters, extraordinary biographies and stories that, over time, gained a spiritual and timeless dimension.
